Block Paving.
Individual concrete or clay blocks laid in herringbone, basket-weave or stretcher bond. A traditional finish that lifts the whole property.
Block Paving — timeless kerb appeal in countless patterns.
Block paving uses individual interlocking blocks bedded onto a sand-and-cement layer over a compacted sub-base. The pattern, colour and edge detailing can be tailored to match the architecture of the home — from period properties to new-builds. Because each block is a unit, damaged areas can be lifted and replaced without resurfacing the whole drive.

Is block paving right for you?
Pros
- Highly customisable — patterns, colours, borders
- Easy spot repairs without resurfacing
- Well-suited to traditional and period homes
- Permeable variants available (SuDS-compliant)
Considerations
- Joints can host weeds and moss without sealing
- Blocks can shift if sub-base is poor
- More labour-intensive to install
